Music Sounds Better…

I never go anywhere without my smartphone and earphones. I listen to music almost all the time when I’m outside of my house. I have music playing in my ears right now as I’m typing this! Some people might call that addiction, but I call it blockage.

I’m still mystified by the effect music can have on me. I have over a hundred songs and I have plenty for different moods. Most of them are pop, but a good number are also classical. The pop songs can bump my mood up when I’m down and the classical ones can relax or soothe me. Still, it’s the lyrics that matter most. If I’m having a hard time, for example, I listen to The Climb by Miley Cyrus or Only A Girl from my favorite show, Winx Club. If I just need something to boost my mind, I listen to something like Party In The USA by Miley or Dancing Crazy by Miranda Cosgrove. If there’s a music video for any of the songs, I somehow put myself into them in my head.

I’m just so amazed by how music blocks the world out and almost makes me feel like I’m in another entirely different world. It may not fix my problems, but it sure makes me want to wake up and get out of bed. Sometimes, I mentally change the lyrics to fit the image in my head.

I don’t keep my earphones in for too long, of course, but I really don’t think I could live without music. Well, I guess I could, but it’d be much harder. Sometimes, I even think of music as a drug for the effect it has, as if it has an actually psychological effect on my brain. And the lyrics really can have a good meaning for life. Like in Raining Sunshine by Miranda Cosgrove, one of the lines is “Don’t be scared of what you fear.”

Along with my friends, I think music is the best thing in my life. 😀

By the way, the title of this post is play on the title of a song I like. You could never guess which one.
